Krueger, Darlene Ann (Marriage - 24 Sept. 1960)

On Saturday, Sept. 24, Miss Darlene Ann Krueger and DeLyle Singstock were united in marriage at the Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler read the double ring service at 1:30 o’clock before the altar decorated with baskets of mixed flowers.

Herbert Juneau was organist and sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krueger of Abbotsford and Mrs. Ted Baumgart of Unity.

The bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace designed with long sleeves and a Sabrina neckline outlined with sequins and pearls. Tiers of ruffles of lace and tulle formed the very full skirt. A pearl and sequin hat held her finger tip veil of silk illusion. She carried a shower bouquet of American beauty roses and white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Ray Miller, Jr., of Colby, a friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Diane Raymond of Wausau, a niece, and Miss Joan Weller, a cousin, served as bridesmaids.

Satin cummerbunds accented their floor length dresses of lace and net in orchid green and yellow. They wore matching lace jackets with their strapless dresses. They all carried matching bouquets of feathered carnations and white pompons.

Ray Miller was best man. Darrell Krueger, brother of the bride, and Marlyn Laabs, her cousin, were groomsmen. Dennis Krueger and Rueben Frome were ushers.

For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Krueger wore a brown lace dress with beige accessories and a green hat. Mrs. Baumgart chose a teal blue crepe with white accessories. Both mothers had corsages of yellow carnations and white chrysanthemums.

About 250 guests attended the reception at the home of the bride’s parents and the 4:30 o’clock supper served in the church dining rooms. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Dorchester Memorial hall.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Singstock left on a honeymoon trip to southern Wisconsin and on their return, will live in the upstairs apartment of the Harry Olson house on Highway 13, south.

Mrs. Singstock is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and has been employed at Wausau at Employers Mutuals insurance company. Mr. Singstock, who attended Colby schools, is employed at Laabs Cheese Co., Curtiss.

Guests attending the wedding came from Abbotsford, Colby, Unity, Marshfield, Wausau, Milwaukee, Rice Lake, Schofield, Medford, Dorchester, Curtiss, Milan, Athens and St. Paul, Minn.
